The Town of Oban
Oban is a busy and elegant seaside town on the west coast of Argyll. It is also a ferry port for travellers heading to the islands. Ferries go from Oban to Colonsay, Mull, Tiree, Coll, Barra and Lismore as well as Kerrera.

There is always plenty to do and see in and around Oban such a visit to the Oban Distillery, or perhaps the excellent War and Peace museum. Atlantis Leisure provides many indoor exercise opportunities including a great swimming pool.

There are many boat trips to see seals or to go fishing as well as the Ferry trips to some of the islands. The Oban area also has great walks which can be combined with a visit to Kerrera, or perhaps a stroll along the promenade and then to Dunollie Castle (see picture) which overlooks the northern entrance to Oban Bay.
